Zendaya had fans going wild on social media after she debuted a stunning look and a massive diamond ring at the Golden Globes.
The "Euphoria" actress made her way down the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 5, in a bright orange Louis Vuitton gown. Zendaya wore a Bulgari necklace with a matching ring on her right hand along with a massive diamond ring on her left middle finger. As the Los Angeles Times notes, the ring was not mentioned in Bulgari’s press release about Zendaya’s ensemble.
According to The New York Times, Zendaya’s bob and overall look were inspired by 1940s club singer Joyce Bryant — but her jewelry truly caught people’s attention. It was another sign that the actress and her longtime boyfriend Tom Holland may be engaged. The couple first met when they worked together in the 2016 film Spider-Man: Homecoming. Rumors about their relationship began after the film was released in 2017. They later confirmed their relationship in 2021 two years after they shared their first on-screen kiss in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Zendaya and Tom Holland have had a few personal moments in the limelight, but they’ve done well to maintain a private relationship. During a recent interview with Men’s Health, Holland explained why he doesn’t walk red carpets with his girlfriend. He said it’s "because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.” Zendaya also explained why she likes keeping her relationship with Holland to herself.
“Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,” she told Elle Magazine in 2023. “I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
As of this report, Zendaya has not confirmed or denied her engagement to Tom Holland. The Challengers actress is more focused on her Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.
