Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business proudly announces the launch of its new podcast series, Inside the Z Suite. Hosted by Zarb School Dean Janet Lenaghan, the podcast offers listeners an inside look at the evolving world of business through insightful conversations with prominent alumni and industry leaders. Beginning January 15, 2025, episodes will air every Wednesday at 4 p.m. on WRHU 88.7-FM, Radio Hofstra University, and will be available on major podcast platforms.
“Our goal with the podcast is to bring business stories to life and inspire listeners by showcasing the remarkable journeys of Zarb alumni and industry experts,” Dean Lenaghan said. “Inside the Z Suite reflects our commitment to experiential learning and preparing students for success in a rapidly changing business world.”
In the debut episode, Elizabeth Velez ’88, ’94, president and CEO of the Velez Organization, will share her experience as a leader in the male-dominated construction industry and provide insights into the future of commercial real estate in New York City. She will discuss her efforts to promote equity and inclusion and her company’s involvement in high-profile projects such as NYC’s Hip Hop Museum, as well as her perspective on congestion pricing as an MTA board member.
The second episode, airing on January 22, will feature Daniel Pellegriti ’00, a Google Workspace GenAI specialist, discussing the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the workplace. Pellegriti will delve into how generative AI tools are reshaping industries, the importance of collaboration between humans and AI, and strategies for businesses to integrate AI effectively while addressing trust and reliability concerns.
In the third episode on January 29, Shegun Holder ‘97, a Zarb alum and CEO of WorkEverywhere, will explore the post pandemic evolution of workplace culture. Holder will discuss the rise of hybrid and remote work models, their implications for office real estate, and how businesses can create sustainable work environments for the future.
Inside the Z Suite promises to deliver engaging and thought-provoking conversations that highlight the expertise and innovation of Hofstra’s alumni network.
