PRESS RELEASE:
As the 19th year of The West Virginia Music Hall of Fame’s operations comes to a close, we can look back on another year of celebrating West Virginia’s notable contributions to American music.
From the thousands of visitors to our museums to presenting concerts and touring our traveling museum, our mission of preserving our state’s musical heritage continues. And that message was also delivered to a new generation of West Virginians with hundreds of school children experiencing our Music Career Counseling Program and interactive museum.
We are now focusing on 2025 and our 20th anniversary with a number of planned events, culminating with the upcoming 10th Induction Ceremony on April 12, 2025.
The Class of 2025 inductees feature acclaimed “outsider” singer/songwriter Daniel Johnston, award-winning Nashville arranger Cam Mullins, chart-topping country songwriter Jeff Stevens and the legendary WV musical family The Womack Brothers/The Valentinos. As in previous years, the ceremony will take place at the Culture Center Theater on the State Capitol Complex and will be filmed by WV Public Broadcasting.
Along with planning and fundraising for the Induction Ceremony, there are many ways to help build our WV music community and celebrate our state’s ongoing musical heritage. Here’s how you can participate:
Thank you for your ongoing support and belief in our mission.
Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue our museum and educational operations, broaden the reach and recognition of West Virginia music and musicians, and educate our youth and communities through the invaluable lessons of West Virginia’s musical culture.
