The Boston hockey rivalry writes another chapter this weekend as Boston College and Boston University face off for the first time this season.
The Eagles moved into the top spot in the USCHO poll this week, earning 36 first-place votes. The team is 16-4-1 on the season but is still behind Boston University in the Hockey East standings.

The Terriers are 13-7-1 and the No. 8 ranked team in the USCHO poll this week. They jumped three spots after sweeping New Hampshire and extending their win streak to four games.
The two teams are typically two of the best college hockey teams in the country and could face off in one of the most popular college hockey tournaments: the Beanpot.
This matchup precedes the 2025 Beanpot and will be significant since Boston University is two points ahead of Boston College in the Hockey East standings.

Boston College vs. Boston University will take place on Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25. Both games will be at 7 p.m. ET.
The first game will be held in Boston, Massachusetts and the second in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
