What to know:MSG, Altice contract dispute puts some NY sports fans in dark
Altice USA has blacked out MSG Networks channels for its Optimum customers, leaving many New Yorkers without access to New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils games.
According to MSG Networks, the companies’ contract expired on Dec. 31, 2024 and neither have come to an agreement on a new one. If you’re an Optimum customer, you have lost access to MSG Network, MSG Sportsnet and MSG+ live streaming service within the Gotham Sports app, MSG Networks says.
Optimum has a partnership with Fubo which offers a free trial of the streaming service to its customers as well as 30% off the first two months, according to the company’s website. Some of the games will also be available on other networks, the company says, such as ABC, ESPN, TBS, TNT, NHL Network, NBA TV, ESPN+ and Hulu.
MSG Networks is providing a zip code finder to help sports fans locate other providers in their area at msgnetworks.com/keepmsgn/.
