Not only is Snoop Dogg a rapper, Olympics correspondent and a coach on “The Voice,” he’s now a talented weather forecaster.
During TODAY on Oct. 17, Snoop collaborated with Al Roker to give viewers the “highs” and lows of the weather across the country with his cannabis-themed report.
“Let me get this weather real quick,” Snoop said as he made his way across Studio 1A towards Al.
During the Snoop-Roker “joint” segment, the rapper started in the West Coast — fitting for the Long Beach native — and worked his way throughout the country as he reported on the temperatures in each region with a fitting twist.
“Al, it’s 57 degrees in Mary Jane Falls, Nevada?” questioned Snoop to Al.
“That’s right!” replied Al.
“Then I heard it was going to be 56 degrees in Stoner, Colorado,” Snoop said with a smirk.
“But my favorite is when it’s nice, hot and misty outside, 84 degrees in Blunt, South Dakota,” he continued.
Snoop then transitioned to the hotter temperatures on the map, labeled “Above Average Highs.”
“Seventy degrees in Roach, Missouri. You understand me?” he said while looking at the audience. “We stay lucky in Kentucky. It’s going to be 60 as we blaze in Blaze, Kentucky, you dig?”
“Oh yeah,” replied Al in laughter.
“And over here we got Pottsville, Pennsylvania, where it will be 60 degrees, and down low on the go, 61 degrees at High Point, get that, High Point, North Carolina,” remarked Snoop to a round of applause from the TODAY crew.
“Best forecast, hands down,” said Craig Melvin as he watched the weather duo wrap up their segment.
Fans commented on the weather report in TODAY’s Instagram, with one fan calling Snoop “a national treasure.”
Another chimed in with a pun of their own, “Love Snoop giving the weather forecast and being ‘blunt’ about it!”
“Keeping the vibes high no matter how low the temp may go,” the user continued.
