These areas are also becoming more complex, require more resources, and need more focus, so these appointments reflect our commitment to these areas.”

The new structure comprises of a Head of Participation and Club Governance, Theo Baker, and a Head of Facilities and Sustainability, Dilwyn Griffiths.
As Head of Participation and Club Governance, Baker is responsible for managing the participation and club governance team and department. Whereas Griffiths, Head of Facilities and Sustainability, is responsible for developing and implementing facilities and sustainability strategies for both the organisation and golf in Wales. Griffiths is also a fluent Welsh speaker and will serve as a lead for Welsh language implementation.

“We utilised the existing team’s skill set to fill these roles and provide opportunities for career progression,” said McAllister. “Additionally, we created a new national manager position, which focusses on supporting club governance. Sophie joined Wales Golf in September and has been an excellent addition to our team!”

Sophie Hancocks, Wales Golf’s newly appointed Club Governance Manager, supports golf clubs across Wales with governance guidance, supporting structural and administration challenges and business support.

Find out more about it here:https://www.walesgolf.org/everyone-s-game

Origin Amenity Solutions, a leader in premium turf care solutions, will launch two groundbreaking fertiliser ranges at BTME 2025 – the revolutionary Xtend Controlled Release Fertiliser range and the precision-focused Microlite range.
TGL presented by SoFi, the new, prime time team golf league backed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports has announced KPMG as the Official Performance Insights and Analytics Provider.
Global heritage brand Alan Paine has unveiled its AW25 golf collection, a comprehensive range of premium knitwear in natural fibres, performance polo shirts and essential mid-layers.
GolfBusinessNews.com (GBN) is for the many thousands of people who work in the golf business all around the world.
We cover the full range of topics both on and off the course.
