The new program will provide selected cyclocross development programs with equipment and cash grant to bring in young riders and introduce them to regional and national-level competition.
USA Cycling is thrilled to announce a partnership with Feedback Sports aimed at expanding cyclocross at the grassroots level. This new initiative will provide equipment and funding through an annual grant program over the next three years, driving at least a 20% increase in cyclocross development clubs across the country.
“Cyclocross is a fantastic introduction to cycling, combining a demand for technical skills and fitness. There is a strong history of rider development through existing programs, and we hope to leverage the collective expertise of the community to bring new clubs and riders into this discipline through this partnership with Feedback Sports,” said Brendan Quirk, USA Cycling CEO.
The program will grant each new club with a Feedback Sports equipment package, including a Pro Mechanic Bike Repair Stand, Omnium Over-Drive Bike Trainer, A-Frame Bike Stand storage system, and a Team Edition Tool Kit, as well as financial support to help them develop new club programs, establish themselves in their community, and introduce them to regional and national-level competition.
“At Feedback we are long-time supporters of cyclocross and of grassroots cycling. We could not be more excited about the opportunity to work with USA Cycling and our friends in the cyclocross community to bring new clubs into this amazing sport.” said Doug Hudson, Feedback Sports Founder/CEO.
In addition, the cyclocross community is poised to support the new clubs through technical and logistical guidance, and to mentor the new clubs as they build a strong operational foundation for long-term success.
The program is set to launch in Spring 2025, enabling new clubs to participate in the 2025-2026 season. New club requirements and application materials are being finalized and will be available closer to the implementation of the program.
