Urbandale’s ongoing discussion about changing athletic conferences continued Monday.
Urbandale’s superintendent addressed the discussion during a school board meeting. The board has considered leaving the current conference, the Central Iowa Metropolitan League, but had previously decided it needed to do more research before voting.
A survey was sent out to gauge response in the community.
The board previously said it was looking into whether the Little Hawkeye Conference would be a good fit for Urbandale. Urbandale leaders were invited to hear from the Little Hawkeye Conference about possible expansion plans.
The Little Hawkeye Conference currently lists eight members, including Dallas Center-Grimes, Indianola and Newton.
