Tonight looks to be one of the coldest nights of the season. The silver lining is that the winds will diminish, so there won't be a wind chill, just some cold air. Don't forget to protect your pipes and look out for your pets, too!
FRIDAY: Another blustery start with wind chills in the teens. Highs will struggle to recover despite ample sunshine and will only be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds are breezy out of the northwest. Expect afternoon wind chills near freezing.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Clear and cold with diminishing winds. Lows will be in the lower 20s. This will be one of the coldest nights of the season.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and turning milder, with highs near 50 degrees. Winds are light out of the southeast.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy. Highs will be in the mid 50s with south winds gusting up to 25 mph.
Temperatures will warm up through the rest of the weekend and into the holiday week. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s, with scattered chances of rain. Christmas Day will be sandwiched between rain chances for both Monday into Tuesday and again on Thursday into Friday. While Christmas Day will be dry, holiday travel may be slowed throughout the week. Over the next 5-7 days, most of Green Country will see at least a little rain, with the highest amounts (1-2") expected in eastern portions of the region.
