In 2023, encouraged by a debut in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, she won both the European Ladies Team Championship and the World University Championship.
Her potential in the pro game was highlighted when she finished tied seventh alongside her celebrated compatriot and Solheim Cup legend Carlota Ciganda in the 2022 Open de España Femenino.
A rookie on the Epson Tour this year, Tejedo said: “I’m excited to officially start this new chapter in my professional golf career with the support of Trinifold Sports Management. Having a strong team behind me is invaluable and I’m ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
“This journey has been a dream of mine for years, and I can’t wait to compete, grow, and push myself to new levels. I’m looking forward to learning from those around me and making the most of every experience along the way!”
Her new Trinifold stable-mate Zanusso is also 24 and succeeded Tejedo as World University Championship winner in 2024. Captain of the University of Denver women’s golf team from 2021 to 2024, she claimed three Summit League collegiate titles and carded a course record-equalling 61 in the Westbrook Invitational.
Her talent impressed no less a figure than the legendary Annika Sorenstam who selected her for the ANNIKA Developmental Progam, an invaluable support network that provides mentorship from the Swedish winner of 10 major championships plus access to Old Barnwell, one of North America’s premier golf facilities.
Zanusso, who is competing on the Ladies European Tour in 2025, said: “I am incredibly excited to take this next step in my professional golf career. I know that surrounding myself with the right people will be key as I start my first season on the Ladies European Tour.
“This is a dream come true, and I’m ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with competing at this level. I’m looking forward to growing as a player, learning from the best, and making the most of this amazing journey!”
The pair join Dawson, who is relishing being an ambassador for the Isle of Man by being its first golfer to play on the LET as she heads into her third season as a professional.
“After seeing the community and team environment that Trinifold has created amongst the guys I’m excited to have be involved in a similar environment with the girls,” she said. “Golf can be a lonely sport at times, so I’m really excited to get to know everyone else at the company.
“My main goal for the year is gaining full playing rights on the Ladies European Tour. I’m also super-excited to started a partnership with Hyatt, such a big company who believe in me and see my potential. I’m excited to see where this will take me across the season and the relationship I will build with the company and people in it.
“I’m also thrilled to continue my relationship with RL360 who have been a part of my journey since I turned professional. I would love to progress to the next level with them by my side. RL360 have a prominent role supporting Manx athletes and it feels really rewarding to be involved with a company like this.”
Jimmy Byers, Chief Executive Officer at Trinifold, said: “There is no price for providing opportunity. It was always in our plans and also extremely important to everyone at Trinifold Sports to replicate our Men’s division for Women in golf.
“A focus on transition from amateur to professional is key for us and making that step as seamless as possible. Ana Dawson, Anna Zanusso and Carla Tejedo are not just wonderful talents but, more importantly, respectful young people with values and a very genuine appreciation of everyone in their team.”
Critical to the success of Trinifold has been the involvement of Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca. The facility has opened its arms to the Trinifold team.
“Alcanada have been supporting the not-for-profit Golfing4Life initiative and Trinifold for over 12 years now,” explains Byers. “They’ve helped develop some of the great amateurs within our set-up as well as the likes of Sam Bairstow and Will Enefer that have gone on to play the DP World Tour. They have been at the forefront of everything we do in regards to support.
“Hans-Peter Porsche and Kristoff Both have been incredibly welcoming to all of our players, whether that’s 12-year-old Sebastian Duffield who has won the US Kids European Championship for two years in succession and the World Championship in Pinehurst, or it’s Sam Bairstow playing the DP World Tour. Now all the girls are welcomed and that support has been incredible.”
Both himself explains that Alcanada enjoys the relationship. “We have been an unofficial winter base for the German Golf Federation’s teams for 20 years and I remember Martin Kaymer coming here as a 15-year-old boy practising with the German national team,” he said. “We take a lot of pride in allowing these young kids to practice and train at our facility.
“So when I met Jimmy Byers I thought there was the possibility of something similar for Trinifold and it’s worked out wonderfully. Now we have this fantastic story with Sam Bairstow, who made his career jump here in Alcanada in the Challenge Tour Grand Final and he showcases our logo on his golf bag during his maiden year on the DP World Tour.
“When the Trinifold guys and girls come over here to train, it’s always very friendly and polite. It’s kind of like old school golf.
“We like seeing their progress and being a little part of their journey and we like Golfing4Life. It’s about vital qualities: relations with people, giving back, being educated. We appreciate those values and love welcoming Trinifold golfers.”
Héctor Forcén, The R&A’s Sustainable Agronomy Service’s newly appointed agronomist for Central and Northern Europe, talks about his role and the services that he offers to help golf course owners meet the challenges of maintaining their facilities in this part of the world Can you tell us about your background and your journey to becoming The R&A’s […]
A new app has been launched that combines some of the best golf coaches with a personalised, structured environment designed to help golfers achieve measurable improvement and hit their goals.
Wales Golf has launched a new scheme to expand the quality of coaching around the nation, to help develop more talented coaches and young players.
