The January transfer window is heating up as it approaches the final manic few days of player trading. Arsenal are strongly expected to sign a new forward in the closing stages of the month and recent reports in fact suggest the Gunners are confident that RB Leipzig star and Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha are eager to join Mikel Arteta’s team.
Chelsea continue to be linked with all manner of moves too. Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho has been tipped as a Blues target and fresh reports claim the Blues have now made contact with the Premier League rivals over a potential move for the Argentina international.

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has reacted to rumours linking Lloyd Kelly with a move to Juventus.
“I think it’s a slightly different situation with Lloyd. I’ve seen a little bit of the speculation on Lloyd. We’ve certainly not had any bid anywhere close to making the club make a decision on that.
“Lloyd’s an integral part of what we’re doing from my perspective. His challenge is to try and work his way into the team. He’s only just arrived, so I think he’s got a lot to achieve here. So, it’s a very different situation.”
Chelsea hold an interest in Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United.
While the Red Devils are not actively looking to sell Garnacho, United chiefs have internally decided to listen to any offers for youngsters Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, as sales of either player could help ease their financial situation with regard Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).
Chelsea are understood to be monitoring Garnacho’s situation and considering an approach, with Napoli already holding widely reported interest in the Argentina international.
While some reports indicate Chelsea are preparing to make a bid for Garnacho in the final week of the January transfer window, they are yet to decide whether to proceed.
It is said that the 20-year-old would cost around £60million.

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has not shut the door on a potential move to Brazil.
The Italy international is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium in the summer and is yet to agree new terms.
Amid reported interest from the likes of Palmeiras, Jorginho has spoken on a potential move to Brazil.
“No, it’s a possibility, yes, in the future, it’s a possibility,” he said. “So this door is also open, obviously. Keep all the doors open and calmly decide what to do in the future.”
Andrew Omobamidele has joined Strasbourg on loan for the rest of the season.
Omobamidele has only made one appearance for Nottingham Forest this season and could seal a permanent switch to the Ligue 1 side in the summer.
Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is due to arrive in Turin on Friday to undergo a medical at Juventus.
The Italian giants have an agreement to sign the 21-year-old on a six-month loan which is expected to cost £4.2million for loan fee and full wages combined.
No option or obligation to buy clause has been inserted into the contract, meaning Veiga will return to Chelsea in July.

Sky Sports Germany claim the Hammers are in advanced talks over a move to sign RB Leipzig forward Andre Silva.
Given the number of injuries to Potter’s frontline, the Irons could be forced into action.
Manchester United of course took exciting young striker Chido Obi Martin from Arsenal last summer.
Now, it seems they are prepared to try something similar again.
