A Buffalo man who was stopped for vehicle and traffic infractions is also allegedly on the hook for having cocaine.
At 4:11 p.m. Tuesday, a city of Dunkirk police officer stopped Lazaro H. Pintuele-Gonzalez, 34 at East Fifth Street and Washington Avenue. He was found to be operating the vehicle with suspended New York state operating privileges.
Further investigation led to the discovery of a significant amount of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers seized over 1.5 ounces of suspected cocaine, which was packaged in a manner consistent with street level narcotics sales.
A warrant was requested and Pintuele-Gonzalez was taken into custody the next day. Pintuele-Gonzalez was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and various vehicle and traffic law infractions. He was being held in city jail pending arraignment.
