Tiger Woods watch is in full effect. After a 1-over-73 in Round 1 and even 72 in Round 2, Woods set a Masters Tournament record with his 24th consecutive cut. That broke the previous record set by Fred Couples and Gary Player. Woods enters Day 3 of the 2024 Masters at 1 over par and still in contention for a top finish.
During a pre-tournament interview, Woods acknowledged the odds against him but stated that he believes he has “one more Masters win in him.” Wood is focused on winning his sixth Masters title, which would tie him with Jack Nicklaus for the most Masters wins.
Day 3 was not good for Woods. He had three bogeys and two double bogeys on the front nine before five more bogeys on the back nine to effectively end his chances at a win in Augusta.
