Surrey went up against Our Redeemer’s last night in the bracket two semifinals of the Region 6 volleyball tournament. Surrey, who was the number four seed out of District 12, took the number two seed in District 12, Our Redeemer’s, all the way to five matches.
Surrey started on top, rallying past the Knights by a score of 25-18 in the first set. They took this momentum into the second set, where both teams put up a tough fight until the end when Surrey won 29-27.
Our Redeemer’s responded in the third set, rallying past Surrey by a score of 25-19. The Knights did not give up and kept that momentum going, winning the fourth set by a score of 25-17.
In the fifth and final set of the match, Surrey left it all on the line pushing past Our Redeemer’s 15-12 and winning the semifinals match by a score of 3-2.
Surrey will go on to face South Prairie Max on Thursday, November 14, in the championship match at Minot Municipal Auditorium.
