Gird your loins, because a Devil Wears Prada sequel is currently in the works, and the original movie’s own Nigel, played by Stanley Tucci, is giving an update (sort of) on the second installment of the film.
In a new interview with Variety, Tucci explained that they are currently "working" on the sequel, and told the publication, "I know they’re working on it. If it happens, I would be so happy, but I cannot give you any information. Otherwise, I’ll go to the actor’s prison or something. [The original] was one of the best experiences ever."
Last summer, Variety reported that a sequel to the iconic 2006 film was coming, sharing that Disney is developing the movie as the original film’s screenwriter, Aline Brosh McKenna, was in talks to write the second. Variety noted that "the storyline reportedly follows [Miranda] Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and faces off against [Emily] Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly definitely needs."
Although, the casting for the movie was unclear, Priestly was famously played by Meryl Streep. The movie also starred Anne Hathaway as Andrea "Andy" Sachs, and of course, Tucci as Nigel.
Looks like "that’s all" for now.
