WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Another busy night on the high school hardwood locally, with plenty of action in both the NAC and the Frontier League.
We begin in Philadelphia, where the Indian River Wolves hosted Lowville in a girls Frontier League contest.
1st quarter Kallie Delles nails the 3 ball, Wolves up 3, she had 16.
Then it’s Allison LaMora taking the feed and kissing 2 of her 16 off-glass, Indian River by 3.
Keera LaLonde finishes the break with the hoop and the foul, Indian River on top 9.
Kate Heins answers for Lowville, getting the roll on the jumper.
Indian River rolls past Lowville 65-30.
Another girls Frontier League contest in LaFargeville, where the Red Knights hosted Thousand Islands.
1st quarter Julia Paratore lays in 2, TI down 2.
Margie Barton spots up and hits the 3 at the other end, LaFargeville up 5.
Then it’s Elyza Smith coming up with the board and bucket, Red Knights on top 7.
Tatum Wiley drives the lane for the basket, Vikings within 8.
Smith hits for 2 more inside for LaFargeville.
LaFargeville beats Thousand Islands 58-31.
NAC boys basketball St Lawrence Central vs. Brushton-Moira.
Anthony Jiang powers to the basket and puts the Panthers ahead 2-0.
Aiden Beach to Damien Ashley in the corner for three. Larries lead 3-2.
Devin Spinner bounce-feeds Beach in the paint for the off-balance bucket. Larries tie the game at 9-9 through the first quarter.
Carson Fleury splashes the three-ball. Panthers up 14-11.
4th quarter: Larries down five. Jeremiah LaBrake intercepts a pass. Beach gets the put-back. St. Lawrence trails 42-39.
After the fast break and miss, Beach cleans up the rebound. 42-41.
With 14.5 seconds left, Beach buries the 3-pointer from the corner. He netted 21. St. Lawrence Central leads 44-42.
Last chance for the Panthers, with a pair of misses at the buzzer.
