The Australia Open 2025 defending champion Jannik Sinner bounced back after losing the first set to defeat native wildcard Tristan Schoolkate 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3 in his men’s singles second round match. The Italian will face American Marcos Giron in the third round.
In the Men’s Singles round of 16 match, George K. defeated Lanier A. 2-0 (22-20, 21-13) to advance to the quarters. The India Open saw George K. display impressive form, coming through a competitive first game and a more comfortable second.
PV Sindhu thrilled her home crowd with a commanding 2-0 win over Japan’s Suizu M. in the round of 16 women’s singles match of the India Open.
Playing at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall in New Delhi, Sindhu showcased her exceptional skills, winning both games 21-15 and 21-13. With this, the two time Olympic medallist storms into the quarterfinals.

Indian player N. Balaji, pairing with Mexico’s Reyes Varela, secured a strong victory in their men’s doubles 1st round at the Australian Open 2025. The duo outshone Aleksandr Nedovysor and Robin Haase with a dominant 6-4, 6-3 scoreline.
On the other hand, the pair of Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli(IND) – Ryan Seggerman (USA) fell short against Harri Heliovaara (FIN) – Henry Patten (GBR) 6-7, 1-6 losing their first round game.
