Arlington is home to several small, locally owned businesses and this holiday season, the town is recognizing their role in the community. Saturday, Nov. 30 is nationally known as “Small Business Saturday” and Arlington’s committee on tourism and economic development (A-TED) is giving away prizes to residents who choose locally for their holiday shopping.
That Saturday, shoppers can visit 19 of the participating local businesses to be entered in to receive a Visa gift card; the first place prize is worth $250, second place is $150 and third place is $50. Shoppers may enter their name once within each store. A detailed list of participating businesses can be read below.
No purchase is necessary to be entered in the giveaway. According to A-TED, winners are to be announced Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The Arlington Committee on Tourism and Economic Development (A-TED), chaired by Angela Olszewski, is funding and running the program. The program was developed to bring more attention to Arlington’s small businesses at the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
