A day after a shocking shooting incident outside Drake’s Toronto mansion, an intruder was detained by police. The person was allegedly trying to get access to the rapper’s mansion.
Police were called after a person was trying to gain access to the premises. He was arrested around 2 p.m. on Wednesday (May 8).
A police spokesperson told CityNews, “Officers were called after a person attempted to gain access to the property.”
He was apprehended under the Mental Health Act.
More details about the suspect and the case have not been revealed.
Shooting Outside Drake’s Home
Earlier this week, the shooting outside Drake’s home rocked the music world.
A security guard, who was “standing outside the gates of the home,” was shot.
One shot hit the upper chest of the guard. He was taken to the hospital in a ”serious condition.”
The shooters fled from the scene in an unidentified vehicle.
The police have the footage of the incident. However, they have refrained from sharing further details, like the car’s description.

The beef between Lamar and Drake dates back to 2023.
The feud reignited earlier this year, when Lamar appeared on Future and Metro Boomin’s, hit ”Like That”, in which he criticised Drake and J Cole’s 2023 song ”First Person Shooter”.
The feud got more serious after the two hip-hop heavyweights continued to release diss tracks against each other.
