Student housing developers in the University District have throttled back their many plans since the completion of several high-rise towers near the UW campus and U District Station. Those have supplied hundreds upon hundreds of units to a market sector that replenishes itself with the advent of each new school year. It’s steady, not soft, but also not exactly explosive in its local growth.
