For three decades, Barnes & Noble inhabited a former bowling alley in downtown Bellevue. That building was part of the former John Danz Theatre complex, which may eventually be redeveloped under an ambitious scheme from Onni Group. The bookseller, anticipating future demolition, announced in 2022 that it was relocating to Crossroads, and a new store opened there late that same year.
