MTV reality series RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 has come to an end and we finally have the winner! Nymphia Wind has been crowned America’s next drag superstar. After defeating 13 other drag queens and weeks of lip sync battles, tasks and runway extravaganza, Wind has lifted the trophy.
The 28-year-old is the first drag queen from Taiwan to take the title and the third Asian/Pacific Islander winner after Raja and Sasha Colby. Her consistently stunning runway looks and outstanding lip sync performances helped her get to the top. She also represented a side of drag we haven’t seen win the crown before.
Other contestants of the season were Q, (Kansas City, Missouri), Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige (Miami), Plasma (New York City), Morphine Love Dion (Miami), Dawn (New York City), Xunami Muse (New York City), Megami (New York City), Geneva Karr (Brownsville, Texas), Amanda Tori Meating (Los Angeles), Mirage (Las Vegas) and Hershii LiqCour-Jeté (Los Angeles).

The runners-up of the season were Sapphira Cristál and Plane Jane.
“To those who feel like they don’t belong, just remember to live fearlessly and to live their truth — and Taiwan this is for you!” Nymphia said during her victory walk.

For the first time in the history of RuPaul’s Drag Race, two Miss Congenialities were crowned for the season. Dressed as a giant owl, Season 15’s winner Malaysia Babydoll Foxx bestowed the title to both Xunami and Sapphira along with cash prizes.
