Roanoke Mayor Joe Cobb will host a Business Summit focusing on “Starting and Developing Your Small Business” from 8:30 a.m. to noon March 10, the city announced Tuesday.
“From the seed of an idea to a ribbon cutting, investing in our small businesses is essential to our city’s health and wholeness. This Mayor’s Summit is part of our commitment to providing small businesses with the resources they need to grow and thrive,” Cobb said in a news release.

Sessions will focus on navigating taxes, legal issues and workspace management, building funding opportunities, marketing and the first-person stories of business owners. The summit will take place at the Dumas Center, 108 First St. N.W., and will be held in partnership with Total Action for Progress, the Virginia Small Business Development Center Greater Roanoke and NRV and the Roanoke Department of Economic Development.
