The spring sports season is ending, and with it comes some great regular season games to close out the season.
This week’s Games of the Week showcases girls’ golf, baseball, track and field, and more.

South Colt Invite at Elmwood Golf Course Monday, May 6, 2024, 8:30 a.m.
Rye Thunderbolt Invite at Hollydot (Colorado City) Friday, May 10, 2024 9 a.m.
There are two golf tournaments in town this week as the South Colt Invite takes place at Elmwood Golf Course and also Hollydot for the Rye Thunderbolt invite. This past week, Emma Garcia of Rye and Sofia Contreras of Pueblo Central finished tied for first in the SCL girls championship.

Baseball is starting to wind down as it enters its final two weeks of the season. There will be a battle for playoff positioning for some teams and an opportunity to make it to the playoffs. The action kicks off with Pueblo South hosting Discover Canyon on Monday. On Tuesday, South will face Central, while County will face off against West, and finally East will take on Central. Wednesday sees action for Class 2A as Dolores Huerta hosts Swink and Rye will have a doubleheader against Las Animas. To end the week, County and East will battle on Saturday.
Friday Night Lights Invitational Friday at Pueblo West High School May 10, 2024, 1 p.m.
John Tate Invitational at Dutch Clark Stadium Saturday, May 11, 2024, 10 a.m.
Lastly, track has two more events in town this week as the season approaches the finish line. Any athlete looking to qualify for the state tournament must push at either of these events. Friday afternoon, Pueblo West will host their Friday Nights Lights Invitational, and then on Saturday, the John Tate Invitational will take place at Dutch Clark.
This week, girls soccer, girls tennis, and boys lacrosse will find out if they made the postseason and where they will be playing. This information has not yet been made available by CHSAA at the time of writing this article.
