The Producers Guild of America and Entertainment Community Fund are linking up to help producers in need in the wake of devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The organizations jointly established a dedicated fund to support producers of film, television and emerging media affected by the fires. The PGA will contribute a portion of the net proceeds from the Producers Guild Awards to the fund, which will also take donations from members. $300,000 has already been committed, per an announcement Tuesday from the PGA, which added that the guild is “heartbroken by the unimaginable devastation and displacement faced by so many in our community.”

The news comes after the PGA delayed the announcement for a second time of 2025 PGA Awards nominees in movie and TV categories as wildfires continue to burn in Los Angeles. Nominees will now be announced sometime next week, with the group saying the delay was being made “out of care and concern for those being affected by the fires.” The Producers Guild of America Awards are scheduled to be held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City on Feb. 8.
Amid catastrophic destruction on the Westside of Los Angeles to Altadena and surrounding areas, Hollywood studios, streamers, agencies and nonprofits have rallied to provide support. The CAA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Creative Artists Agency; CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), the aid organization co-founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee; and the Los Angeles Unified School District Education Foundation launched the SoCal Fire Fund.
Disney donated $15 million, Warner Bros. Discovery committed $15 million for relief efforts while Amazon, Comcast and Netflix directed $10 million apiece and Sony pledged an additional $5 million, while Paramount Global and Fox Corp added $1 million, to name a few.
