MUSKEGON, MI – A longstanding school sports apparel company is closing its brick-and-mortar store and going fully digital.
Just for Kicks posted Tuesday, Jan. 7, it is hosting a closeout sale where customers can save 60-70% off all items at 6022 Harvey St. in Muskegon before it transitions to online retail only.
“Everything must go! Under Armour, fleece, performance wear, and more,” the post read.
Just for Kicks, founded in 1999, specializes in custom and branded apparel for schools, sports, businesses, fundraising and more, according to its website.
Owner Chris Blaski said when the COVID-19 pandemic forced school closures, it hurt the school and sports side of the business.
“We do mostly school and sport business, so we sat on a lot of inventory for about a year,” she said. “Then once schools and sports started up again, there were issues getting inventory and fulfilling orders.”
Blaski and her husband also own Advanced Printing and Graphics in North Muskegon, so they decided to close Just for Kicks and combine both operations in one location while continuing to fulfill orders online.
The couple also plans to invest more in their business apparel options and roll out upgraded websites in mid-summer before fall sports begin.
“I hope people follow us in our new adventure,” Blaski said. “Customers will still be able to email and walk into our other business in North Muskegon once we close our doors, so there are still those options.”
