Today, the U.S. Senate begins the impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. He’s just the second cabinet secretary ever impeached.
And, in the U.S. House, Speaker Mike Johnson has announced four separate bills to be voted on – three would separately provide foreign aid to Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine. The fourth national security bill would likely include a U.S. ban on Tik Tok.
And jury selection began Monday in Manhattan criminal court in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial. This is the first time in American history a former president is being tried on criminal charges.
