WAIKIKI, Hawaii (Island News) — Pesca Waikiki Beach restaurant – which is located atop the historic Ilikai Hotel & Luxury Suites – has closed, the restaurant’s management has confirmed to Island News.
The Mediterranean and seafood restaurant said that due to a fallout with the partnership, Pesca has closed at this location, and is in the process of looking for a new location to reopen in Hawaii.
In a letter to vendors obtained by Island News, Pesca said it closed its doors on December 31. It opened in 2021.
Pesca management also said that a new restaurant has opened in its former space but that it is not in anyway affiliated with Pesca Waikiki Beach or any of its other affiliated restaurants. These restaurants are headed up by Peter Zwiener and his father Wolfang Zwiener.
Any credit decisions or special pricing that was considered for Pesca is non-transferrable to the company that has opened in its former location.
