Kelly Campbell, who has headed NBCUniversal‘s streamer Peacock for the past three-plus years, is leaving the company.
Campbell’s departure comes about six weeks after NBCU parent Comcast announced that it would look to spin off most of its cable networks into a separate company, but Peacock would remain within the NBCU umbrella alongside the NBC broadcast network and cable flagship Bravo.
NBCU reps declined comment.
Campbell joined Peacock in 2021 after several years at Hulu. She has presided over a period of growth at the NBCU streamer, which boasts 36 million subscribers as of the third quarter of 2024 and has narrowed its losses in the past year. Peacock also won praise for its blanket coverage of the Summer Olympics in Paris.

She joined Hulu in 2017 as its chief marketing officer and later rose to president of that streaming service before moving to Peacock. Prior to Hulu, Campbell spent 12 years at Google.
Along with the plan to spin off cable outlets CNBC, E!, Golf Channel, MSNBC, Oxygen, Syfy and USA, NBCUniversal announced new responsibilities for top executives Donna Langley and Matt Strauss. Langley, NBCUniversal Studio Group chairman and chief content officer, will take on the role of chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment and Studios, while Strauss, Comcast’s head of direct-to-consumer, was named chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, adding sports, ad sales and distribution to his purview along with DTC.
