Ahead of the 2025 Oscars, Harrison Ford unexpectedly dropped as presenter for the March 2 ceremony—hosted by Conan O’Brien at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
Harrison Ford will no longer be presenting at the 2025 Oscars.
The Indiana Jones actor, who was previously announced as a presenter for the 97th Academy Awards March 2—hosted by Conan O’Brien—dropped out of his duties, a rep confirmed to People, due to a shingles diagnosis two days prior to the event.
And while he won’t be joining this year’s presenters—including Selena Gomez, Lily-Rose Depp and Miley Cyrus—in making audiences laugh at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, the 82-year-old has stolen the spotlight this award season.
During the “I am an actor” introduction at the SAG Awards Feb. 23, the Star Wars legend casually brought a chip to his mouth as Shrinking costar Jessica Williams attempted to deliver an inspiring speech.
“Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams,” the Incredible Jessica James star said to the camera, “and sure enough all my dreams have come true here.”
But before she could continue, she realized that all eyes were on Harrison enjoying his late-night snack in the background.
“I told him to turn away,” she shouted with a laugh, turning around to scold her costar, “Don’t look!”
And while Harrison made his fair share of jokes this award season, it turns out he was the butt of a few of them as well. In fact, Ariana Grande was left shocked when her mom Joan Grande made a NSFW joke about the actor on the Golden Globes red carpet Jan. 5.
“No, no, I’m dead,” Joan joked to Entertainment Tonight after meeting Harrison, who may just be her ultimate celebrity crush. “That was my goal…We’ve pretty much done everything except Harrison Ford. And I don’t mean we did it, but you know what I mean.”
