Nicholas A. Pilski
Collins–Nicholas A. Pilski, 27, of Collins, passed away following a sudden, unexpected illness on Tuesday December 31, 2024, at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
Nick was born August 9, 1997, in Amherst, NY. He is the son of Lisa Gilbert-Tarnowski (Larry) of Silver Creek and Peter A. Pilski of Lockport. Nick currently resided at the WNYDDSO Home in Collins, but he resided at one of their homes in Perrysburg for several years prior.
Nicholas loved his sweets, and he really enjoyed the “Little Debbie” cakes that his Mother would bring to him. Nick was known for showing his affection towards others, with his generous display of smiles and laughter, and he was always reaching out for more and more hugs. He was also well known for his beautiful bright blue eyes.
In addition to his parents, Nicholas is survived by his twin sister, Natalie Pilski, of Lancaster, his two half-brothers, Lorenzo and Levii Tarnowski, and his half-sister, Lacey Tarnowski, all of Silver Creek, and his half-sister, Madison Pilski of Lockport. Nick is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Darlene Gilbert, of Cassadaga, his home caretaker Bonnie Dieglman of Derby and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles W. Gilbert, and his paternal grandparents Albert Sr. and Virginia Pilski.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday morning, January 4, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM for the viewing at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc, 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY, where Christian Burial Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a luncheon immediately following at the Kosciuszko Club.
