Students, staff and alumni are celebrating the grand opening of a new sports complex at a high school in Sacramento.
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Thursday at Hiram Johnson High School to officially open the school’s sports complex.
It includes new playing fields for the school’s baseball and softball teams. There is also a practice facility for the school’s golf team.
The opening of the sports complex is the last phase of several improvements including new turf on the football field, a new track, bleachers, lighting and concession and restroom buildings.
