WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Ian Van Wagner set a new scoring record Thursday night, as Potsdam beat OFA in boys high school basketball.
Van Wagner downed a three point shot in the second quarter, giving him a career mark of 2,043 points, setting a new all-time record for boys basketball, a mark previously held Chateaugay’s Jonah McDonald, set in 2019.
Also Thursday, Genea Brown came storming back after losing the first set in Frontier League B division volleyball semi-finals to Lowvile 25-20. The Lions took the next three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-13 to win the match 3 -1.
The Lions advance to the Frontier League championship on Saturday at JCC where they will meet South Jeff for the B division title.
