Eight months after Morgan Wallen was accused of throwing a chair off a rooftop in Nashville, the country star plead guilty to his charges and received two years probation as part of his sentence.

Eight months after he was arrested for allegedly tossing a chair off the roof of a bar in Nashville, Tenn., the "Last Night" singer plead guilty to two counts of misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges during a Dec. 12 appearance at Davidson County Circuit Court.
And following his guilty plea, Wallen—who was accused of throwing the chair off the six-story roof of the Chief’s bar, owned by Eric Church—was sentenced to seven days of jail time at a DUI rehab center, along with two years of probation.
While misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges can result in much harsher sentences, the 31-year-old—who said he would "accept responsibility" for the incident back in April—reached a deal due to his guilty plea. As Judge Cynthia Chappell explained during the Dec. 12 hearing, "Those each carry a maximum punishment of 11 months and 29 days in jail and a fine of up to $2,500 on each count."
"You will receive a sentence of 11 months and 29 days, all suspended, except seven days incarceration, which will be served at a DUI Education Center," she continued. "The remainder of that sentence will be served on supervised probation."
And Wallen can erase his arrest from his record if he meets all the requirements of his deal, considering he pleaded guilty to his charges in accordance with "judicial diversion," a statute that allows offenders to "petition the court to expunge all public record" of their offenses. However, if he fails to abide by the rules of his sentencing, his offenses will convert to convictions, Chappell said in court.
After his appearance in court, Wallen's attorney Worrick Robinson IV emphasized that his client's sentencing "does not result in a conviction" and highlighted the country singer's desire to give back to his community going forward.
"Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved," Robinson said in a Dec. 12 statement to E! News. "Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.”
