Eric Javits hats are renowned for their high cost, attributed to their meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.
A similar boater hat from the designer has been listed for sale at over $400. Lippes, although not a household name, is a preferred designer for the new First Lady, according to Vogue.
The designer told Vogue: “Mrs. Trump’s outfit was created by some of America’s finest craftsmen and I take great pride in showing such work to the world.”
A similar double-breasted coat on the official Adam Lippes website was listed for sale at over $3.6k, but Melania’s custom design is expected to be worth significantly more.
