Meghan Markle's followers have noticed a potential error with her title that could suggest a split from Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex has made a solo return to Instagram under the simple handle "meghan." and has already amassed nearly 400,000 followers at the time of reporting.
Her account, which features a single post – a video reel, is yet to receive the blue tick verification. The video shows the Royal and former actress jogging on the beach before she stops to inscribe "2025" in the damp sand.
It's believed that her husband, Prince Harry, filmed the video amidst speculation about their relationship status. Despite attending events separately and Harry having to laugh off rumors, a friend previously stated that they maintain a "functional and healthy relationship" and are merely preoccupied with work.

However, following Meghan's social media comeback, fans noted that her profile initially only displayed her first name before it was updated to "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex." A royal fan page on X/ Twitter questioned if the couple had parted ways after spotting the alleged mistake.
Accompanied by screenshots of Meghan's profile before and after the change, they posted: "Meghan's Instagram has already had an update, changing her name in the profile from "Meghan" to "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex," reports the Mirror.
"Hopefully we will see another update, as she left out the 'The' in her title. No 'The' before Duchess of Sussex means she is a divorcee."
The Mirror has reached out to Meghan's representatives for comment. Prince Harry laughed off the rumors of a split, expressing genuine sympathy for the trolls whose "hopes are just built and built, and it doesn't happen."
Meanwhile, Meghan's return to Instagram coincides with the former Suits actress and her husband Harry spreading some holiday cheer with their 2024 Christmas card, which features a delightful family photo. Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's card displayed a fresh picture of their children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.
One of the six photos in the greeting shows the children from behind as they excitedly run towards their parents. The card portrays Meghan smiling at Archie while Harry welcomes Lili, reinforcing his recent comments about her long, red hair – just like her big brother's.
"On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation," read the card's message.
