A Dunkirk man was injured in a Tuesday afternoon crash on Route 60. Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported they were dispatched to the intersection at Williams Street for a motor vehicle crash. It was determined that Larry E. John, 25, of South Dayton was traveling westbound on Williams Street and stopped for the stop sign at Bennett Road. John failed to yield after the stop and pulled out in front of a southbound vehicle being operated by Edwin R. Gomez, 63. Gomez was transported to Brooks-TLC Hospital in Dunkirk for injuries. John was not injured during the collision and charges pending. East Dunkirk Fire Department, County EMS, City of Dunkirk Police assisted at the scene.
