Alexander Isak has won the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month award for December.
The Swedish frontman was in tremendous form during the final month of 2024, providing eight goals – a stunning strike against Liverpool, one against Brentford, another against Leicester City, a first Magpies hat-trick against Ipswich Town, one against Aston Villa and the opener against Manchester United as well as registering two assists.
Isak's scintillating spell in front of goal has guided Eddie Howe's side into fifth place in the English top-flight, one point adrift of the UEFA Champions League qualification spots as United rounded off the calendar year with four successive league victories.
The 25-year-old beat teammate Jacob Murphy, who was also shortlisted, to the award as well as Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah, Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest, AFC Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen, Cole Palmer of Chelsea and Fulham's Antonee Robinson.
Isak has also been shortlisted for the Guinness Goal of the Month following his incredible 20-yarder during a thrilling 3-3 draw against Premier League leaders Liverpool, with the winner being announced on Friday, 10th January at 1pm (GMT).
