BEAUMONT, Texas — LaDonna Sherwood announced that she will be running for Beaumont City Council Ward 3.
Sherwood made the announcement on Facebook December 31, 2024.
“This is real, we’re really doing this! Thank you to everyone who’s supporting me on this journey… Together, we’ll make it happen!” Sherwood said in the announcement.
Sherwood will be running agaisnt Terry Roy.
If elected, Sherwood will replace Audwin Samuel who was first elected as the Ward 3 councilman in 1984 and served through 1993. He was elected again in 1999 and has held the Ward 3 seat since then. Samuel is running for councilman at-large, vacating the Ward 3 seat.
