South Korea Turmoil:
South Korean investigators launched a pre-dawn operation to arrest President Yoon Suk Yeol on Wednesday in a second bid to bring the impeached leader in for questioning over his short-lived martial law declaration.
A few hours into the operations some of the investigators managed to pass a third set of defense lines set up by Yoon’s security team to block access to the presidential compound, Yonhap said. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials leading the probe did not immediately respond to a Bloomberg request seeking comment.
