Reality star Khloe Kardashian has joined a growing number of Los Angeles residents voicing frustration with Mayor Karen Bass as wildfires continue.
The Kardashians star didn’t hold back Friday evening when she called Bass a “joke” on Instagram.
The criticism came after Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley spoke to Fox, accusing the mayor of failing to prioritize fire department funding earlier this year.
Crowley alleged she had requested additional resources over a month ago, citing urgent repairs needed for firetrucks and hydrants, but said no action was taken.
Kardashian shared a clip of the interview on her Instagram Story.“I stand by YOU Chief Crowley!!!! You spoke the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn’t even want to say that but it was THE TRUTH!!!!”
She added: “Thank you for being honest. Mayor Bass, you are a joke!!!!”
Kardashian isn’t the only celebrity taking aim at the mayor.
Mel Gibson and James Woods have also criticized Bass, accusing her of mishandling the city’s wildfire preparedness and response.
The fires, which began Tuesday, have scorched vast areas of Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena.

The Kardashian family, including Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, Rob, Kendall, Kylie, and Kris Jenner, evacuated their homes on Thursday as the Kenneth Fire threatened 1,000 acres northeast of Calabasas.
While the evacuation order has since been lifted, it is unclear if the family has returned home.
Despite the turmoil, the Kardashians have been actively supporting local firefighters.
On Thursday, Khloe shared on Instagram that her family donated meals to several Los Angeles fire stations.
“My family and I wanted to feed a few firehouses today, and we couldn’t think of a better restaurant to reach out to than @carouselrestaurant,” Khloe wrote.
