Good morning, West Michigan! Mainly cloudy skies are expected today, but despite the cloud cover, temperatures will be warmer than yesterday. Highs look to climb into the middle 40s this afternoon. This is the appetizer to a much warmer Monday.
A warm front will quickly lift through West Michigan early Monday. This will send high temperatures soaring into the low 60s ahead of an advancing system. It will be windy on Monday with some gusts up to about 30-35 mph from the south. Rain will move through our area late Monday through early Tuesday. A break in the rain is expected midday before scattered thunderstorms fire up late Tuesday afternoon and evening. A few strong thunderstorms are not out of the question, but the threat is low at this time. Either way, it will be windy on Tuesday with gusts as high as 45 mph possible.
As Tuesday's system departs, it sends a shot of chillier air our way for the middle of the week. High temperatures look to correct closer to average (lower 50s) by the end of the week. After Tuesday, we should stay dry through the end of the week.
