After joining Kimco Realty in 1998 as a leasing associate, Joshua Weinkranz has built a long-standing leadership career within the company, now serving as president of the Eastern Region. Weinkranz oversees a portfolio of more than 260 properties, totaling approximately 46 million square feet across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest. In this role, he is responsible for the region’s strategic direction, leading leasing, asset management, construction and redevelopment efforts while collaborating closely on property management, acquisitions and dispositions.
A highly experienced retail real estate executive, Weinkranz has played a key role in integrating major acquisitions into Kimco’s Eastern Region portfolio, including the 2024 absorption of 27 properties from RPT Realty and the 2022 addition of the eight-property Kabro portfolio on Long Island. His leadership ensured a smooth transition, optimizing operations and positioning these assets for long-term success.
With over 28 years of experience in shopping center real estate, Weinkranz previously served as Kimco’s regional president of the Northern Region and vice president of the company’s Northeast Region. He also formerly held the position of director of real estate at Rosen Associates Management Corp.
In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University, Weinkranz earned a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
