(WAND) — Illinois basketball moved up nine spots to take lucky number 13 in this week’s AP poll.
The move comes the day after Kasparas Jakucionis made a tiebreaking layup with 32 seconds left against the Huskies. The Illini managed to squeak out a win at 81-77
This is Illinois’ highest ranking yet this season.
The Illini host Penn State’s Nittany Lions on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
