It was a critical weekend in the U.S. House of Representatives, which passed four key pieces of legislation.
The House passed aid for Ukraine, Israel and the Indo-Pacific.
It also passed a bill to increase sanctions on Russian assets as well as ban TikTok in the U.S. if the company’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, doesn’t divest in a certain amount of time.
The bills all received bipartisan support in the House. In the Senate, where the bills were packaged, they also received backing from Democrats and Republicans.
This is how North Carolina lawmakers voted:
Ukraine aid
Israel aid
Indo-Pacific aid
Russian sanctions/potential TikTok ban
Rep. Jeff Jackson’s office tells Spectrum News 1 that Jackson missed a few of the votes Saturday because there was a change to the House floor schedule. His office says he would have voted in support of Indo-Pacific aid and Russian sanctions/potential TikTok ban.
