Connor Hillig of the Brookfield Stars Co-op hockey team was the winner of last week’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel high school athlete of the week poll.
Hillig earned 27,653 votes out of the 52,630 total votes cast.
Hillig tallied four goals and two assists in an 8-6 win over Arrowhead, and four assists and a goal in a 2023-2024 state title rematch win by a 7-2 final over Notre Dame to earn the nomination.
Zach Behn of Kewaskum boys basketball finished second with 19,112 votes.

Other nominees were Alec Vernon of Sussex Hamilton boys basketball, Zeke Sawall of Brookfield East boys basketball and Hanna Bultman of St. Thomas More girls basketball.
