Gypsy Rose Blanchard—who was released from prison in 2023—shared a selfie after welcoming her first baby with boyfriend Ken Urker.
Motherhood is in full bloom for Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
The Life After Lock Up star shared an update on her well-being after giving birth to her first child, a baby girl named Aurora Urker, with partner Ken Urker on Dec. 28.
"Almost a week postpartum," Gypsy, 33, wrote on her Instagram Story Jan. 3. "Feeling more energized."
Her post also included a selfie, showing her offering a small smile while dressed casually in a beige tank top.
Indeed, the year has already started on a high note for Gypsy, who was released from prison in December 2023 after serving time for her role in her mom Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard's 2015 murder.
On New Year's Day 2025, Ken announced the arrival of their little girl, sharing a photo of him and Gypsy gazing lovingly at their newborn in the hospital. He captioned the Instagram post, "Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all."
And Gypsy's family is head over heels for the new addition, too. Her dad Rod Blanchard and stepmom Kristy Blanchard gushed over baby Aurora in the comment section, writing from their joint account, "Now we can scream it out to the world."
Gypsy and Ken's love story traces back to her decade in prison: The pair were engaged from October 2018 to August 2019 but eventually called it off. The following year, she received fan mail from Ryan Anderson and they saw sparks fly. Although Gypsy and Ryan went on to tie the knot in July 2022, she confessed that she continued to think about other men.
"I had a dream about my ex, and in that dream, I left you for my ex," Gypsy told Ryan in a prison phone call, as seen in their Lifetime docuseries The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. "I'm sorry. I know that there is a part of me that still has love for him."
Gypsy and Ryan ultimately announced their breakup in March 2024.
"People have been asking what is going on in my life," Gypsy wrote in a statement obtained by People at the time. "Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou. I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this."
One person who was by her side was Ken. The couple soon rekindled their romance, revealing in July that they were expecting.
