COLUMBIANA — The city’s new Tractor Supply has something for everyone in the family — even Fido and Fluffy.
The store, which is located near state Route 14 and Springfield Road, across from the Way Station, will host its grand opening at 10 a.m. today. According to store manager Valerie Phillips, the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the ribbon cutting, which will include food trucks, cake and cupcakes from Hogan’s Bakery and free Tractor Supply hats.
Phillips admitted that the store’s workwear section is her favorite, featuring garb for men, women and children. She said she expects it to be especially popular at fair time, when 4-H participants purchase outfits for their events from the store’s selection of popular brand names.
Carrying the top brands in the business, tools are a’plenty throughout Tractor Supply. Whether it be a generator or a gun safe, customers can purchase them here.
In the case of air compressors, for example, customers can purchase them with an extended RRR (Repair, Replace or Reimburse) guarantee, Phillips added.
A comprehensive bulk hardware section features “the nuts and bolts” of a fix-it man (or woman’s) dream.
The store’s professional quality “Pet Station” near the rear of the building is bound to be a hit among pet owners. Equipped with two professional quality grooming bays, human customers can bathe their pet counterparts for less than $10 each with top notch equipment.
Phillips said there also are extensive pet sections for cats, dogs, equine and other animals featuring foods, toys and other supplies. While the store does carry vaccines, rabies is not among them due to the state law requiring a tag to accompany the vaccination’s administration.
A large supply of mowers from Bad Boy, Toro and Cub Cadet of various sizes and supplies are among their inventory as well as a vast garden area, which currently stands open until warmer weather.
Phillips said that the store is contracted to sell Weber grills among other brands in their outdoor section, noting that customers who us their Tractor Supply card can enjoy additional savings throughout the store.
However, she explained that the Columbiana store will be added to a route for a future PetVet clinic, where customers can get affordable vet care as walk-ins.
An extensive amount of automotive and farm vehicle supplies, including tires; farm and fencing needs also are carried throughout in addition to welding accessories like helmets.
Tractor Supply also price matches among its own locations and vows to beat it by 5 percent among other retailers.
TSC locations also offer curbside pickup and delivery through its Stockyard online ordering system for many of its stores. Inventory items can range from tools to feed depending on the store with customers ever having to leave their farm or home.
The store does not provide in-house service work for anything they sell.
Hours for the store will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday (except Sundays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.) For information about the Columbiana store, call 330-800-5318.
