Just Stop Oil activists sprayed private jets orange at Stansted Airport, targeting Taylor Swift’s plane. Using a circular saw, they breached a fence and vandalized two jets with paint-filled fire extinguishers. “We’re living in two worlds: one where billionaires live in luxury, able to fly in private jets away from the other, where unlivable conditions are being imposed on countless millions,” said Cole Macdonald from Just Stop Oil. The protest, involving Jennifer Kowalski and Cole Macdonald, demanded an end to fossil fuels by 2030. Despite the incident, airport operations were briefly paused but not disrupted. The move comes shortly after the controversial spraying of the ancient Stonehenge monument in southern England. It is unclear if Swift’s plane was the one vandalized. This action follows rising scrutiny over Swift’s jet emissions, which highlights the environmental impact of private air travel.
